Mr. Richard Martinez has been named the new principal of Forest Park High School. Mr. Martinez has worked in education for more than 20 years, beginning as a math teacher and more recently serving as assistant principal of Freedom High School. He is eager to begin leading Forest Park. His complete biography can be found here.

Forest Park opened in 2000 and currently has over 2400 students grades 9-12. FPHS is fully accredited by the Virginia Department of Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Forest Park has over 20 computer labs and over 800 networked computers and a one-of-a-kind Observatory with two domes on the roof.

Forest Park offers a wide range of Advanced Placement classes. The schools specialty is the Center for Information Technology.




Directions: Forest Park is located approximately 35 miles south of Washington, D.C. Take I 95 to exit
152. Go north on Rt. 234 (Dumfries Rd) about 4 miles and use the right hand turn onto Forest Park Rd .
